Hi, I’m Vish, an electrician by trade and the founder of Onward Shift. I host a free monthly Walk & Talk networking event for people working in construction and related trades. It’s a chance to build genuine connections, support your mental wellbeing and grow your local network, without the pressure or formality of traditional networking.
Where & When
During the winter months, we stick to well-lit public roads. When the evenings are lighter, we explore more scenic routes, including Welsh Woods. Some walks may be a little more challenging than others, but every walk starts and finishes at the same meeting point.
There’s no cost and no pressure. Whether you’re there to chat, listen, meet new people or simply take a breather from the day, you’re welcome.

Whether you’re on the tools, managing teams, running your own business or just starting your career in construction, you can simply turn up, walk alongside other people in the industry and see where the conversation goes.
Most people don’t when they first come.
