Hi, I’m Serena, and I know that taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming. If you’re here, you might be struggling with anxiety, stress, or other challenges that feel difficult to manage alone. I want to assure you that you’re in the right place, and I’m here to support you.
I am a Psychotherapist with a background in psychology, counselling, and health coaching. I hold a BSc (Hons) in Psychology, Counselling, and Therapies, an MSc in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology, and I am currently completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (PGDip CBT), accredited by the BABCP.
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and goal-focused. I work with adults facing Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Health Anxiety, Insomnia, OCD, PTSD, low self-esteem, and other mental health challenges, helping them regain control of their thoughts and emotions using evidence-based CBT techniques. My experience includes working with UK veterans, emergency service workers, individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, and those navigating complex mental health difficulties.
I have also volunteered my time providing therapy to individuals in Birmingham through St. Martin’s Centre for Health and Healing, supporting those with trauma, addiction, and anxiety. Additionally, I had the privilege of working in Sri Lanka on a global mental health placement, running therapeutic sessions for individuals in psychiatric hospitals and special needs centres.
I believe that therapy should feel like a safe, non-judgmental space where you can work through your thoughts and emotions at a pace that feels right for you. Whether you’re seeking strategies to manage anxiety, overcome unhelpful patterns, or build resilience, I’m here to help.
Let’s take that first step together.
