The BUILT4US Podcast, created by Tim Roe, is a space for honest conversations about life in construction. There are no scripts or polished corporate messages just people talking openly about mental health, pressure, purpose, pride and what it really feels like to work in the industry.
The podcast shares lived experiences from people both on and off the tools, exploring the highs, setbacks, pressures and personal struggles that can sit behind life in construction.
At its heart, BUILT4US is about creating space for conversations that people in the industry recognise and relate to, while reminding us that strength doesn’t have to mean staying silent.
It’s also growing into a community of people who want construction to become a better place for those working in it today and the generations coming through next.
Onward Shift is proud to partner with the BUILT4US Podcast because there is a clear overlap in what we are both trying to achieve: creating more honest conversations around mental health and the realities of working in construction.
BUILT4US creates space for people across the industry to share their experiences openly, while Onward Shift provides different routes into support through professional services, lived-experience talks, practical resources and community initiatives.
We approach things differently, but the message behind both platforms is similar. People shouldn’t feel they have to carry everything alone, and construction becomes stronger when we create more room for people to talk honestly about what they’re experiencing.
By working together, we can help those conversations reach more people across the industry.
