Construction Networking Events

First Wednesday of Every Month in Colchester, Essex

Hi, I’m Vish, an electrician by trade and the founder of Onward Shift. I host a free monthly Walk & Talk networking event for people working in construction and related trades. It’s a chance to build genuine connections, support your mental wellbeing and grow your local network, without the pressure or formality of traditional networking.

Where & When

  • Location: Salary Brook entrance, Bromley Road, Colchester (by the entrance sign)
  • Time: 7:00pm
  • When: First Wednesday of every month
  • Duration: Around 1 hour (varies based on the group’s pace and route)

During the winter months, we stick to well-lit public roads. When the evenings are lighter, we explore more scenic routes, including Welsh Woods. Some walks may be a little more challenging than others, but every walk starts and finishes at the same meeting point.

There’s no cost and no pressure. Whether you’re there to chat, listen, meet new people or simply take a breather from the day, you’re welcome.
